With the release of his second album, Songs from the Cane Fields in 2005, South Africa has seen Guy Buttery perform all over South Africa in the last year. Getting involved with various projects and performing with the likes of Nibs vd Spuy, Gareth Gale, Farryl Purkiss and many other great local artists, having recently recorded with South Africa's Vusi Mahlasela, constantly touring as a solo artist around the country, as well as receiving a National nomination for his latest release at this year’s South African Music Awards.

Constantly touring, recording and performing with various musicians means that Guy has not done a solo performance in KwaZulu-Natal for over two years. He will return to KZN to perform on the Ballito Cinema and Sound Stage.

Opening for Guy will be one of his students, Luke Siedle, who he describes as an incredible 6 and 12 string fingerstyle player and vocalist, who writes his own tunes.

At Ballito, Guy will perform new material as well as compositions from his two albums. CD's will be on sale. Booking advisable through Muzi on 032 946 2300 or email greg@intranews.co.za
