As the name suggests, 2nd Generation took form from the fact that the father of both the bassist and the guitarist is well-known musician Tony Fisher, a founder member of the Blarney Brothers.

The band produces a freshly bred component folk blended with an element of funk eased down by a touch of jazz. The collective, 2nd Generation, comprises proficient string instrumentalists rendering vocals to compliment the style they have created. Though Jigs and Dave Fisher took inspiration from their father’s musical brilliance; they are far from being a replica of Tony’s compositions. They have fused their own influences and passions into one brew together with the rest of the band to fashion a sound that is profound in its own league.

2nd Generation will be hosted at Vestige Bistro & Bar on the corner of St. Thomas and Musgrave Roads on June 29 at 20h30.
