Music Revival will present the brilliant Polish violinist Rafal Zambricki-Payne in a recital of violin classics in Pietermaritzburg on June 18.

Now visiting South Africa to play with orchestras in major centres, including the KZN Philharmonic, the young musician first performed for Music Revival in July 2000 and made a fleeting and impressive guest appearance in last year’s Tatham Celebration in June.

Joined by Christopher Duigan at the piano, his programme will include Beethoven's Sonata in A minor, Maurice Ravel’s Violin Sonata (including the very popular - Blues) and the sultry Habanera. Rafal also includes Mozart’s Violin Concerto No 5 in A major as a preview to his performance with the KZNPO later this month.

The performance takes place at 15h30 on June 18 at 35 Montgomery Drive, Athlone, Pietermaritzburg. Tickets R70 Includes coffee. Bookings on 033 342 3051 or email: chris@musicrevival.co.za or visit www.musicrevival.co.za
