Due to the Soccer World Cup taking place in Germany in June and July, the eighth annual Starlight Pop Opera, which is generously sponsored by First National Bank, and features the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, will now take place at the Durban Country Club on August 6.

This event has become one of the highlights on the South African arts and culture calendar and the 2006 will include a stellar line-up of artists as Durban audiences have come to expect.

The programme for this unforgettable evening will include a fine selection of arias from well-loved operas, an attractive mix of light classics and highlights from popular musicals.

So pack a picnic basket, bring fold-up chairs and treat family and friends to an evening of beautiful music under the stars. Gates will be open at 15h00 and patrons are encouraged to arrive early to avoid the last-minute rush. The concert will start at 17h30.

Tickets at the gate R85 (R40 for children) and there is a special ticket price for Durban Country Club members. Booking through Computicket on 011 340 8000.
