The Rotary Club of Kloof, together with Spar, will stage Music in the Hills, a musical treat for the whole family.

The event will take place on May 7 in the beautiful gardens of Makaranga Lodge in Kloof. Participating again this year will be the internationally acclaimed KZN Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sue Cock, together with eight talented school choirs from the Highway area.

The event will also celebrate the Centenary of St Mary’s DSG Kloof, whose musical director Ronel Laidlaw is in charge of the participating choirs.

“Rotary’s aim is to stimulate music among youngsters, entertain the public and raise funds for local charities,” says Denzil Bradley, spokesman for Kloof Rotary. The public is invited to bring picnics and enjoy the music in beautiful surroundings. We anticipate more than 1,500 people will attend and suggest that in order to avoid disappointment, people book early."

Tickets R70 (R30 children). Tickets available from all Highway Super Spars and from Makaranga Garden Lodge. The gates at Makaranga Lodge will open at 13h00 when various school choirs, orchestras and the Kearsney Gum Boot Dancers will entertain until the main event at 15h00.
