Baroque 2000 continues its 2005 concert series with an unusual collection of Vivaldi concerti.

Violinists Michelle Hsu (9) and William Chin (11), who appeared to great acclaim in the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra’s recent Youth Concerto Festival, are soloists in the Double Concerto in A minor.

Michel Schneuwly and Michael Magner play the concerto for two trumpets, while violinist Geza Kayer is soloist in the Concerto ‘il sospetto’.

Also featured is the Concerto Grosso in G minor. Hear these fine instrumentalists performing with Baroque 2000 at St Olav’s church, St Thomas Road, Durban at 11h30 on October 30.

At the concert the orchestra’s exciting new educational project will be announced. This is planned to culminate in performances by young musicians at the 2010 World Cup. These young musicians will soon begin studying with members of the KZNPO.
