The Revenge of the Pink Panties is the title of the latest rock ‘n roll music offering from zany comedy duo Lisa Bobbert and Aaron McIlroy. A sellout at both the Grahamstown and Hilton Festivals earlier this year, the show will open at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on December 1 and promises to offer fun-filled evenings of entertainment. This highly-energetic husband-and-wife team are good foils for each other, with Lisa’s infectious giggle and overwhelming energy balancing Aaron’s nerdy and gawky stage image.

While The Revenge of the Pink Panties deals with a talent contest and audiences can renew their acquaintance with some of the off-beat characters from Lisa and Aaron’s highly successful Sex Bugs & Rock 'n Roll, the show is not a re-run. The music is mostly rock and roll and includes foot stomping numbers such as Help Joanna, 500 miles, Time Walk, I love Rock' n Roll and Twist and Shout , as well as In the Summertime, Green Door and Bette Midler's Going to the Chapel.

Tickets are R42,50 and there are shows nightly from Tuesdays to Sundays until New Years' Eve when the “Millennium Bash of the Century” is being organised. This final performance will start later and end just before midnight when the ticket price is R200. This includes sparkling wine, snacks and streamers as well as live entertainment after the show and a disco until the last person drops! Book now at Computicket. Discounted prices for block bookings (over 30 people) available from 083 292-5324.
