The hugely successful run of the superb South African production of Phantom of The Opera, has been extended until October 31. Some 35,000 seats went on sale on September 1.

After the last performance in Pretoria, the production will be crated and shipped to Shanghai. The South African company follows soon after that, to appear in the first performance of Phantom of the Opera in Shanghai on December 18.

Booking is at Computicket. Group sales can be made by calling 011 511 1988. Performances are from Tuesday to Sundays at the State Theatre, Pretoria.

Editor’s Note: This is a fine production and well worth the trip to Pretoria. I was filled with a sense of pride that South Africa was able to pull off such a highly technical production - and pull it off well.
