One of the highlights of the KZN Philharmonic’s calendar, and indeed the South African cultural calendar, is the annual Starlight Pop Opera which takes place on June 6 at the beautiful Durban Country Club.

Sponsored by FNB Corporate, the line-up of stars at this year’s concert includes Linda Bukhosini, Bongani Tembe, Joseph Clark, Juanita Kruger, Nondumiso Tembe, Jacqueline Wedderburn-Maxwell and the award-winning Durban Serenade Choral Society.

A special feature this year will be a children’s choir comprising children who were born in 1994, the first year of South Africa’s democracy.

Pack a picnic basket with delicious food and wine, round up family and friends, and enjoy an evening under the stars of light classics and highlights from popular operas.

Tickets R70 (R65 for DCC members/R30 children). Book at Computicket.
