The second concert in Music Revival’s new Durban Concert Series takes place at Howard College Theatre, UKZN, on May 4.

The programme opens with Haydn’s Trio in E flat Hob XVI:22; to be followed by three pieces: Spiegel im Spiegel, Fratres, Mozart-Adagio by the contemporary Estonian composer Arvo Pärt who has achieved popular appeal with the serene and spiritual qualities of his music.

After interval the Trio perform Antonin Dvorák’s gypsy-inspired Dumky Trio, one of the most appealing works in the standard trio repertoire.
