NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. Edgars, 5FM Music and Big Concerts regretfully announce the postponement of the upcoming Limp Bizkit South African tour. Set to kick off in Cape Town on April 2, the tour was postponed "due to unforeseen circumstances" according to the band's booking agent. The new dates for both South Africa and Dubai will be announced soon, and are likely to be in November this year. Fronted by Fred Durst, the American rock supergroup has become one of the most influential bands in the heavy music scene and has sold close to 30 million records worldwide. They have scored a host of awards and number 1 hits, most notably Take a Look Around, the theme song to Mission Impossible 2; My Generation, and Rollin’ off the album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water. Promoter Attie van Wyk, of Big Concerts, said "although we are extremely disappointed about the sudden postponement, we look forward to announcing the re-scheduled dates as soon as possible". Ticket holders can go to their nearest branch of Computicket for a full refund, and those who paid by credit card will be credited. For further refund information, please call the Computicket call centre on 083 915 8000.
