The newly-formed jazz quartet, Low Density, will perform a repertoire of original compositions at Zanzi Restaurant at the BAT Centre on October 9 at 21h00 and October 10 at 20h00. The quartet is led by composer Dick Hathorn (soprano sax) with well-known Durban musicians Sazi Dlamini (guitar), Mike Chetty (drums) and Wieslaw Cleglowski (bass).

“Our compositions are generally laid-back, have strong melodies with modern harmonic and rhythmic elements and lots of space for improvisation!” says Dick Hathorn. The band is looking to secure future engagements and to record and release a CD. His number is 083 656-8225.

Zanzi offers full restaurant and bar facilities – book via the BAT Centre on (031) 332-0451 or 332-0468. Cover charge is R15pp.
