At the close of this week, the BAT Centre will host events presented in association with the BAT Centre Trust by TransAfrica Express - "An African journey through music and food".

Music on the Deck on September 19 at 18h00 features Umshikashika Wenkunzi Maskanda, a six piece maskanda group from Mayville under the leadership of Sam Qwabe.

The SaturdayCocktailSessions on September 20 from 17h00 to 22h00 offer cocktails on special and jazzy tunes on the decks.

Sunday Sessions with Iva on September 21 at 15h00: Jazz/Afro-Jazz/Trad. Iva are one of BAT’s regular and most popular groups with the line-up featuring the superb Nonhlanhla Wanda on lead vocals, Vuyani Hlubi on keyboards, guitar and backing vocals, Sihle Ndlovu on drums, Sandile Cele on bass guitar and Delani Mbhokazi on tenor and alto saxophone.

All events are free unless stated. In the event of inclement weather, the Friday Music on the Deck event will be presented inside the restaurant.
