The KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir comprising 64 - now world-famous - singers recorded their annual CD titled Celebration at the end of last month.

The oldest youth choir in South African, they recently topped their impressive achievements to date by winning most of the awards at the 21st International Choir Festival of Preveza in Greece, competing against 25 other choirs. They brought home the coveted first prize in the special folklore category.

Watch out for stars of tomorrow on the CD: Northlands Girls High School’s Shana Doyle, Derek Saunders of Michaelhouse, Matthew Zama from the University of Natal’s Opera School and Thabi Ngema from St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls. The CD is due to be released in November.
