Michael Green has begun writing classical music reviews for the artSMart website. He is a former editor-in-chief of the Daily News and Sunday Tribune and has been a music critic (when other duties permitted) for half a century, starting with the Cape Argus in Cape Town in the 1950’s.

He studied music at the University of Cape Town’s College of Music and is an amateur pianist. He is a regular pre-concert lecturer as a member of the panel of speakers who give talks before the symphony concerts of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a well-known wine writer and has for the past four years written a regular wine column for the artSMart website.

Watch out for his reviews on these pages.
