Sipho Bhengu (41) surely died the way he would have wished - in the middle of a concert and without any major trauma. He was appearing with the mbaqanga group Soul Brothers at a concert at King’s Park stadium to celebrate the first anniversary of Isolezwe, Independent Newspapers’ Zulu-language newspaper.

Soul Brothers was the last group on the programme and afterwards Sipho asked another member of the group to support him because he suddenly felt dizzy. He then collapsed and died before the emergency services arrived.
