Northcliff High School from Johannesburg makes an annual visit to Durban with their musical of the year. Directed by Nick Jourdan, the standard of these productions is always extremely high as audiences will remember from Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Guys & Dolls and Oklahoma!.

This year, Northcliff High has opted for one of the most popular of the Gilbert & Sullivan musicals, the delightful The Mikado. This is a hilarious spoof of Victorian English society in which an array of British abuses and absurdities are satirised through a thin Japanese disguise.

The Mikado will have performances in the Playhouse Drama from June 24 to 29. Booking opens on May 19 at Computicket.
