The Oppikoppi If Not Tomorrow Then The Next Day Easter Festival will be held at the original venue on the farm at Northam in the Bushveld from April 18-21.

”Be warned: This get together of tune lovers has almost defined the phrase: Distinguished inelegance,” say the organisers. “Couple this with high quality tunes and the unmistakable blend of bushveld ambience at the koppi, and you have the makings of a perfect Easter getaway.”

The lineup is still in the planning stages, but so far it features Valiant Swart, Tweak, Slugs of War, Tidal Waves, Duck and Cover, Albert Frost, Liela Groenewald, Zef Sketse, Brixton Moord en Roof Orkes, Pestroy, Norman Chauke, Soil 7T7, The Narrow, Dan Petlansky and Tumi and the Volume.

A total of about 20 acts will perform over the three-day period and the additional names will be added shortly. Go to www.oppikoppi.co.za for constant updates and important news for discerning party entrepreneurs.

As the name of the festival comes from the old Tim Parr tune – Freedom - the organizers have decided to allow any person with the surname Parr to enter for free. So if your surname is Parr and you have an ID to prove it at the gate you can join us for free, say the organisers – adding that: “If your friends call you Parrie, Parra, Paddy or anything like that you need not apply.”

Tickets R150 for the entire weekend, including camping, braaing, fishing and swimming. Take along braai’s. More information on 012 460 7431 or e-mail: info@oppikoppi.co.za
