The National Isicathamiya Competition held at the Playhouse every year is a major highlight for lovers of traditional a capella music. Choirs converge on the complex from all over South Africa and the competition is tough.

This year’s competition takes place on November 9 in the Playhouse Opera at 19h00 and continues into the early hours of the morning. The audience comes and goes throughout the event, so arrive and hopefully you’ll find a seat!
