Hosted by well-known local musician Larry Amos, Port Shepstone’s King Prawn Pub, Grub and Music venue will host the Mississippi Muthers on October 25 and 26 at 19h00. The venue is situated on the Port Shepstone beachfront at the Banana Express platform.

Guitarist for the Muthers, Dan Patlansky, is held in high esteem by top guitarists in South Africa and is acknowledged as being an exciting talent. Although not yet 21, this highly skilled guitarist has been likened to a young Stevie Ray Vaughn or Jimi Hendrix. When not performing, he is fully occupied with teaching guitar. The group also includes Johannesburg musicians Julian Laxton of Julian’s in Northcliff and George Worthmore of the Blues Room

The Muthers are a tight unit who perform a wide range of favourite cover songs. Well rehearsed, they are guaranteed to satisfy the most demanding Blues boffin, as well as the casual listener.
