Wind down the weekend enjoying laid-back jazz with Easy Street, a 12 week season of quality jazz at jus' jazzin' at 14 Shearer Road on South Beach.

Legendary lead guitarist Sandile “Shakes” Shange, a self-taught jazz musician with a unique style, is joined by Neil Gonsalves on keyboards and Philani Ngidi on bass on September 5. On September 12, there’s the: Imaginary Quartet which sees legendary Durban guitarist/poet/vocalist Syd Kitchen backed by Dan Wilson (bass) and Wesley Gibbons (drums). The band plays Kitchen's original songs, which combine blues/jazz/folk elements.

The guest artists on September 19 are the George Mari Quartet with local performer/tutor George Mari on trumpet. His repertoire includes original compositions as well as standards and he plays with Mageshen Naidoo (lead guitar), Bongani Sokhele (bass) and George Ellis (drums) with his wife, Debbie Mari adding the vocals. Skokiana takes over the stage on September 26. Driven by the vision of award-winning composer/guitarist Sazi Dlamini, and featuring his original works, Skokiana also showcases the talents of Bogani Sokhele (bass) and Stembiso Ntuli (tenor saxophone).
