The music venue Bluebottles at the Harbour entrance on the Point Waterfront will host a Lady Singer and Songwriters Night on February 3. Artists appearing include Fiona Tozer and Miriam Erasmus.

It will also feature an informal tribute to Perla Siedle Gibson, better known as the Lady in White. During wartime, she sang the troops in and out of the harbour from the World War II gun battery site and her plinth is situated just outside Blue Bottles. Perla will be re-enacted by Caroline Smart, who has appeared in this role at many official functions dealing with military or nautical events in the past.
