Before the attacks on the World Trade Centre, the southern Manhattan skyline, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were brightened by fireworks for a concert featuring the world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli.

M-Net takes pleasure in presenting Andrea Bocelli and the New York Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Zdenck Macal and Steven Mercurio at 22h05 on Christmas Day (December 25).

Before a crowd of about 10,000 fans in New York Harbour's Liberty State Park, Bocelli performs selections from his best selling albums, Romanza, Sogno, Aria and Viaggio Italiano. He is accompanied by special guests Anna Maria Martinez and Sarah Brightman and the song list consists of well-known arias, Neapolitan songs and Bocelli’s more pop repertoire.
