On December 20 at 19h45 at the Durban Jewish Club in Old Fort Road, Friends of Music will host their final concert of 2001.

Highlight of the programme will be the popular baroque ensemble Baroque 2000 who will perform orchestral works and the famous Corelli Christmas Concerto (Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No.8)

Featured as the Prelude Performer for this concert will be pianist Derrick Nikwe who can be seen playing in Musgrave Centre every Saturday morning from 10h00 to 14h00. Playing several light classics and popular numbers, he represents the first performer in this exciting new project which sees talented musicians making a ten minute appearance before the featured artist or group of the evening. This project has been made possible through funding from the National Lottery.

The Durban Jewish Club is air-conditioned and a cash bar as well as safe parking is available. Booking is at Computicket or at the door.
