Two Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School soloists will appear in the Baroque 2000 concert to be held on October 28 at 11h15 at St Thomas' Church in Musgrave Road.

This programme will feature eminent soloists Byron-Mahieu van der Linde (contralto voice) and Marinda Snyman (organ).

Byron-Mahieu van der Linde will sing the Vestro Pricipi divino Motet for contralto, due violin, viola and basso continue-RV633 by Antonio Vivaldi. This will be a South African premiere. Marinda Snyman, who is an accompanist at the Choir School, will play the Concerto for Organ and Orchestra Op IV nr. IV by G.F. Handel.

The rest of the programme features Henrico Albicastro’s Concerto Grosso No. 2 and Johann Bernhard Bach’s Overture No. I (Violino concertino: Petya Koleva).
