The Winston in Clark Road, which has supported live music for many years, was recently robbed and most of the venue’s equipment was stolen. However, local musicians have rallied round on a Save The Winston Mission and bands will perform from 20h00 to 02:00 on August 21 and 22, playing a half hour set and turning around every hour. Cover charge will be R20 on both nights and there will be plenty of give-aways as well as autographed CD auctions of some of SA's top bands.

A number of out-of-town bands have shown interest in performing but the organisers are still finalising sponsorship and PA for the night. Any support, however large or small, would be most welcome. All sponsors will be acknowledged. Anyone who can offer any product that be used as give-aways or put up for auction should contact Dave Campbell of Fruit Fly Navigators on daveca@fedsure.co.za or phone 082 899-8729.
