Nancy Rios is looking for performers for a cruise liner in the Caribbean. The cruise runs from December 6, 2001, to mid-May 2002 with the possibility of an extension of the contract for a further six months. They are one-week cruises in the Caribbean embarking in Havana.

Two four-piece dance bands are required who should be able to play as a quartet but also combine to play in a Cuban/Latino show on board. Each band will need to play international standards as well as current international hits and some Latino/Cuban style music.

A Cuban trio using handheld instruments playing Cuban/Latino music who are able to play whilst strolling around the ship and deck.

A pianist/singer with a vibrant personality who can interact with passengers and get them to “sing-along” with him/her. Most of the passengers are Italian, French, Spanish and German so it would be advantageous if the performer can sing/speak more than just English.

Also required are a lighting technician, sound technician and a DJ with an impressive collection of CD's.

Nancy Rios will be in South Africa at the beginning of October to interview/audition the performers and technicians.

Those interested should contact either Mark Hawkins or Peter Taylor on (031) 209-0142 for further information.
