NB: as of 23 September 2008, all new artSMart articles are being published on the site news.artsmart.co.za. Tim Furness has opened a Durban branch of Drum Café, a project specifically aimed at the corporate sector for team building exercises. Also operating in Johannesburg and Cape Town, Drum Café works on the premise that people lose their inhibitions in drumming and generate a group spirit. Drumming also breaks down barriers of language, race, creed and culture. Single workshops at a cost of R6,600 and lasting between 45 minutes and an hour-and-a-half can be organised for 50 to 100 people.
