Mercury Rising, a tribute to rock icon Freddie Mercury, returns to Durban at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from June 12 to 30 hot on the heels of a successful season in Johannesburg.

The highly sophisticated and popular revue features the music of Freddie Mercury performed by the dynamic cast who wowed Johannesburg: Duncan Royce, Angela Killian, Chrystal Tryon and Roelof Coelyn on piano. “The production has been given a new theatrical injection for its Sneddon run" says Duncan Royce who devised and compiled the show.

Presented by Venture Capital Mercury Rising focuses on the soaring and breathtaking music Mercury used to showcase his exceptional vocal abilities. It is an elegant songbook of a singer whose death in 1991 brought to an end to one of the most spectacular rock careers known last century.
