On December 10, the 2003 Prince Claus Awards will be presented at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam.

Among the ten 2003 Prince Claus Laureates who will each receive 25,000 euro is the District Six Museum in Cape Town. The museum deals with the history of a multi-racial community in Cape Town that was moved at the orders of the apartheid government.

This year, the Principal Award has been granted to Wang Shixiang (1914, PR China) in recognition of his expert and innovative reserarch into the crafts of China.
