Big concerts will present a visit to South Africa of the superstar who has been hailed as the greatest magician of our time. David Copperfield will perform his astounding and mystifying feats for the first time "live" at spectacular performances in Johannesburg and Cape Town in November.

In 1982 he vanished an aeroplane surrounded by a ring of astonished spectators. In another daring attempt he levitated himself across the Grand Canyon. In 1987 he became the first person to escape from Alcatraz. He then successfully challenged the Bermuda Triangle, escaped from an imploding building, and risked death by plunging over the precipice of Niagara Falls. In 1992, he assisted his friend Michael Jackson in designing illusions and special effects for Michael’s Dangerous Tour. "It was an exciting project," said David. "Michael is at the very top of his field. I use music to enhance my magic; Michael used magic to enhance his music. It was great."

The Magic Of David Copperfield: Beyond Imagination is presented by Big Concerts in Cape Town on November 13 and 14 at the Bellville Velodrome (in association with The Cape Argus and KFM) and in Johannesburg from November 16 to 20 at the MTN Sundome (in association with The Star and 94.7 Highveld Stereo). Booking exclusively at Ticketweb.
