Among these are the superb and intricate 18ct hollow oval-shaped yellow gold bangle created by the overall winner Adam Bremner. Currently working for a Durban jewellery design house, Adam is a former Technikon Natal student. The other two Durban winners are Khanyisile Ntombizonke Khoza and Kubendrie Asim Kumar, also former Technikon Natal students. Khanyisile submitted an 18ct yellow and white gold Zulu pendant with blue and green enamel detail as well as an 18ct gold shell brooch. Kubendrie’s 18ct yellow gold necklace is woven from fine gold wire forming fascinating shell shapes. The accompanying 18ct yellow gold bracelet has gold balls interspersed with triangles of red enamel.
