The Creative Kids Club operates via correspondence and young readers may submit their photos for publication to be enrolled as a member. They then receive information on a regular basis dealing with the magical world of theatre. Membership is free.

Apart from offering prizes in its regular quiz competition, this month’s newsletter produced by “The Thespian” explores the fascinating use of masks.

“Masks have featured very prominently in various theatre productions,” says The Thespian. “Masks are a tool used by many actors to help create the character they are portraying. Remember the great children's production called Kweku Anansi, staged at the Playhouse last year, in which several masks were used to make the actors more versatile?”

The publication goes on to explain that masks are not only used in theatre but can add great excitement to any party.
