Margie Lloyd, a former SABC TV production manager who arts organisations in Durban will remember well for her involvement in numerous TV programmes such as Collage and Arts Unlimited, died in Hilton at the end of June after a long illness.

“She was very passionate about her work and could become totally interested and absorbed,” says Jill Murraybrown, her television producer for many years at the SABC.

“She would always go that extra mile to ensure that the particular subject being featured achieved its full potential. Her attention to detail was impressive. She was a gracious and gentle soul and always put people at ease if they were nervous at being interviewed on camera.”

Before working for the SABC, Margie Lloyd was a flight attendant with Air Rhodesia.
