A new voice was heard on SAfm at the beginning of November. It belongs to glamorous Nothemba Madumo who can be heard each Saturday evening between 19h00 and 21h00, replacing Monica Fairall who has moved to the early morning slot on Saturdays.

An ex-pat from Swaziland, Nothemba will present a programme of jazz, Rhythm & Blues and mellow soul music. While still studying at the University of Swaziland she landed a part-time job with Swazi television as a continuity announcer. Since coming to South Africa during the mid-90’s she was heard as a newsreader on Bop Radio and later as a presenter of sports programmes on SABCTV. Teaming up with Jeremy Maggs, she became well-known as co-presenter of AM2Day on SABC1from 1999 to 2000.
