The national arts website Artslink.co.za offers quicker, brighter and better coverage in 2001 as it presents informed and independent news and views on SA arts and entertainment.

Darryl Accone, editor of Tonight, the daily entertainment supplement of the Star newspaper in Johannesburg for the past five years, has joined Artslink on a fulltime basis. “After 20 years in print journalism I've given up killing trees to become joyfully entangled in the World Wide Web,” he says. “Why? Artslink.co.za is founded on and dedicated to the principle of serving arts and culture. That means respecting the intelligence of our readers and appreciating the aesthetic achievements of the artists we write about.”

Darryl presents ArtRap every Monday to Friday in which he can discuss anything from “the frenzied spending on casinos” to the Lotto and cellphones.
