Tape Aids for the Blind is urgently in need of English and Afrikaans-speaking volunteers to record literature for blind people. There are currently thousands of people in South Africa who are unable to read because they are visually impaired.

The organisation is appealed to the community to share its ‘vision’ and the pleasure that books give with those who live with the shattering impact of blindness. Participants are needed for about an hour each week in the organisation’s studios to help record “talking books” for those unable to read. Anybody interested in donating some of their time to help record Tape Aids for the Blind’s “talking books” can contact (031) 309-4800.
