Dr. Valerie Galichon will be at the Alliance Française on March 29 at 17h30 for 18h00 for one evening only to show slides and to talk about a much-debated topic: the origin of our species.

Dr. Galichon is a French pre-historian who has researched widely on South Africa’s earliest inhabitants. She will cover the prevailing ideas about the quest for man’s origins, including not only the latest scientific research in the arena of archaeology but philosophical, cultural, aesthetic and religious considerations as well.

The Alliance Française is located at 22 Sutton Crescent in Morningside. Dr. Galichon speaks both English and French. Snacks will be provided after the lecture. More details from Victoria Mallett on (031) 312-9582.
