Murray McGibbon, former artistic head of the Playhouse Company’s now-defunct drama department, now lives and works as a lecturer at Bloomington University in Illinois, USA. He writes that he was recently informed by the International Brotherhood of Magicians that he qualifies for induction into their prestigious Order of Merlin.

He will receive this award at a ceremony to take place in Buffalo, New York, at this year’s IBM Convention in July.
