“Send a message of hope this season by donating a well-loved children’s book to the HIVAN book bank,” explains a HIVAN press release. “We encourage you to write a message in each book donated. Let this be your way of connecting and giving hope to those less fortunate this year.”

HIVAN will deliver small libraries of children’s books to: Streetwise Children’s Care Centre; Sinikithemba Care Centre HIV/AIDS Support Group; Hillcrest AIDS Centre HIV/AIDS Support Group; Highway Hospice; Chatsworth Hospice; St. Philomena’s Children’s Home; King George V Hospital; King Edward Hospital; Addington Hospital and Mavela Crèche (Indwedwe).

Books should be dropped off before November 30 at HIVAN, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College. Public Affairs Annexe, King George V Avenue, Durban, or at the KZNSA Galleries, 166 Bulwer Road, Glenwood, Durban.
