Vera Dubin and Anna Moshal will present a Bead Extravaganza on June 20.

To be opened by Dr Devi Rajab, Bead Extravaganza will present a myriad of exquisite designs and colours featuring semi-precious stones, pearls and others.

Better known as the driving force behind Friends of Music, Vera Dubin spent more than half her life as a medical practitioner - dermatologist, in Cape Town and Durban. Apart from Friends of Music, which is her main passion, she developed many hobbies including painting, decoupage, gardening, interior decorating, ceramics and silver jewellery.

About two years ago, she started creating designs and the making of unusual necklaces. “My source comes from all over the world and South Africa,” she explains. “This has become my passion and another obsession. To anybody who is the age that I am 81, to allay depression, one must remain as active as possible!”

A part of the proceeds will be donated to an HIV Charity.

Bead Extravaganza takes place at Interdeco, 368 Florida Road, Durban from 17h30 on June 20.

This invite is open to all. However a RSVP is essential to Vera on 031 202 7822, Ida on 031 201 3922 or Anna/Christa on 031 303 2004.
