The Critical Moment Photojournalism Gallery is preparing for an unusual exhibition in late January, 2000. The exhibition, called Food & Foto, will feature photographs of speciality dishes prepared by professional chefs, student chefs, and cooks throughout the greater Durban area. The gallery is asking food enthusiasts to send in names of eating establishments which have impressed them and the name of one special dish available at the venue. The gallery will have student photographers visit the restaurants and take photos of the dishes for display at the gallery. A novel idea is that the chefs will be invited to prepare the dishes for sampling at the opening. Please contact Bongeka Jikela at (031) 203-6614.
