Intriguingly styled a “Hair Joint & Media House”, LOQ Studio has recently opened in Albany Grove next to The Playhouse.

Established by Mqondsi and his partner, Marilyn, it promises to be the latest, trendiest salon, media house and networking zone in Durban.

Mqondsi is a professional scriptwriter/director and producer, whose work can be seen in many television programmes such as Backstage, Channel O, Imali Mania (Lotto), Bassiq and Street Journal, which recently shot footage from the salon.

LOQ Studio also specialises in the entertainment industry. Marilyn is an established local and international model, both for television commercials and a variety of magazine editorials. She is also involved with stage choreography and runs a Casting Agency from the Studio.

While clients are having their hair done, their partners can amuse themselves at the Playstation console with a variety of interesting games. The choice of in-house music ranges from hip-hop, jazz and R&B to reggae and house.
