Albert Community Park’s indoor soccer courts in Durban are set to become a battle ground on August 6 when the second Durban Hip Hop Battle of the Year sees young artists compete in breakdancing, rapping, graffiti art and DeeJaying under the auspices of Bling Free Durban.

Beginning at 12h00, the day’s festivities include performances by established artists – and entrance is free for spectators.

There are prizes for first and second placed artists, and the ultimate accolade of King (or Queen) of Durban goes to the top performer. Competitors are asked to register by 11h00 and a registration fee of R10 will apply.
