How 2 Help represents a series of books focusing on NGOs and development projects in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

The first in the series, How 2 Help - a guide to worthy causes in Cape Town, was published in November, 2003. It shines a spotlight on the needs and stories behind the many development projects and worthy initiatives in the Mother City. Written by Capetonian Tracey Young and published by Aardvark Press, the book informs readers how they can contribute to these pioneering programmes which provide underprivileged communities with the opportunity to rise above their difficult circumstances and realise their dreams.

The Durban edition is due to be published shortly and a Johannesburg version is scheduled for mid-year 2005. The guides will be updated biannually and incorporate 50 to 60 new projects each time. All royalties earned from the sale of the books are reinvested in the projects included in the guides.
