On September 13 at 18h00, the Pietermaritzburg-based University Film Club presents Read My Lips/Sur mes lèvres in its monthly European Movies series.

Directed by Jacques Audiard (2001), Sur mes lèvres was a great hit in France. It is an original and involving thriller exploring issues of voyeurism and power-games as it tells the story of shy, put-upon office-worker Carla, who finds an unlikely ally in ex-con Paul. Together they turn her apparent handicap - she is partially deaf - to advantage, and turn the tables on their respective employers.

Films are shown at 18h00 in the CVA lecture Theatre in Ridge Road, Pietermaritzburg.
