This year M-Net once again presents the most prestigious award ceremony of them all - The 78th Annual Academy Awards. The Oscars will be broadcast live on M-Net Movies1 on March 6 at 03h00, while those who can’t wake up that early in the morning can enjoy all the action in M-Net’s prime time on the same day at 20h30.

South Africans will be watching this year to find out if Charlize Theron manages to scoop her second Oscar for North Country and if Tsotsi becomes the first South African film to bring an Oscar home. Tsotsi has been nominated in the category Best Foreign Language Film.
