From September 26 at 21h00, BBC Prime on DStv is to present Inspector Lynley Mysteries.

Based on the best-selling stories by Elizabeth George, this contemporary murder mystery series features the charismatic Inspector Lynley, whose title as the 8th Earl of Asherton fuels a sparky relationship with his working class partner Barbara Havers.

Lynley and Havers were first paired up by their boss at Scotland Yard; despite initial sparks due to their different backgrounds, a mutual respect blossomed. Now an established team, there are new mysteries to be solved, including the death of a cricketer with a rather complicated personal life; the kidnapped secret love child of a Labour MP and a Tory newspaper editor; and the death of a young man whose body is found on a beach.

The series stars Nathaniel Parker and Sharon Small.
