Promax & BDA is a global, non-profit association dedicated to advancing the role and effectiveness of promotion, marketing and broadcast design professionals in the electronic media. Promax Awards are recognised around the world as being the highest accolade for creative professionals within the industry/ television promotion and marketing professionals.

Africa's top satellite television provider, DStv, has more than made its presence felt in the run-up to this year's Promax Awards, considered the Oscars of international television marketing in New York.

DStv has been nominated for 12 Promax Awards. These include nominations for the BDA Design Awards in the categories: E! Entertainment launch promo; DStv Touch launch promo, and Every minute, every moment.

Promax Awards nominations include: Count on DStv Kids; Interactive Olympics (two categories); Make time for Movies; April Movie Highlights; Sound (two categories); DStv Compact, and Make time for Extravaganzas.

The Awards are judged by an international panel of Promotion and Marketing professionals, based on three criteria: overall creativity, production quality and results in achieving marketing objectives.

The winners will be announced at the 2005 New York Global Conference and Awards Show, to be held at the Marriot Marquis in Time Square on June 23.
