Former Durban actor Sipho Mzobe (2) was shot dead in July last year in front of his home in Alexandra, Gauteng.

He was one of the characters in a new educational TV drama series called Gaz’lam which was created to help open up communication channels about sex. After his death, the producers decided not to recast his character but rather to rescript certain scenes. The controversial 13-episode drama series was screened on SABC1.
